http://apple.com/hypercard/ is redirected to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HyperCard (“HyperCard was an application program from Apple Inc. (at the time Apple Computer, Inc.) that was among the first successful hypermedia systems before the World Wide Web.”).
This definitely shows that Wikipedia is gaining credibility, and utility.
And kudos to Apple for linking to a 3rd party account, which can give a more unbiased history (particularly, it can say bad things directly). This decision might have just been a way to pass the job of creating and maintaining a history to someone else. But regardless, I think we are all better served by as complete a history as possible.
